We got a warm welcome in Hyde Park this week, where we traveled to find some of Chicago Booth’s most stylish folks. The weather wasn’t great, but the style definitely was!
Name and school: Annie M., 2nd year
School: Chicago Booth School of Business
Where are you going to work next year? Corporate finance at Avon
What are you wearing today? Trenchcoat (Juicy), Leggings (LuluLemon), T-shirt (American Apparel), Watch (Swatch), Bangle (“It’s my mom’s, it’s probably from the ’70s”), Ring (“a gift from my boyfriend, it’s David Yurman”), Scarf and Boots (“one of my favorite stores in London, Primark. It’s great and it’s really cheap. My brother lives there so when I visit, I just stock up!”)
Can you describe your style in three words? I’d say I’m on the trendier side, but comfortable, and…I’m not sure there’s one word for this, but what do you call the opposite of preppy?
Who/what are your style inspirations? I love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. And Nicole Ritchie.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I really want to do something in the social venture capital world, and impact investing in developing countries. That’s why I came to business school!
What’s the last thing you purchased? I don’t shop a lot. I think my last purchase was these leggings. I practically live in them.
